Cheeto shaped like Michael Jordan being auctioned after Charizard-shaped Cheeto sold for $87,840

A Flamin’ Hot Cheeto bearing a resemblance to Michael Jordan’s Jumpman logo is currently up for sale at Goldin Auctions. Earlier this month, the same auction house sold a Flamin’ Hot Cheeto shaped like popular Pokémon character Charizard for $87,840 after it was widely shared on social media last year.

The Jumpman Cheeto is three inches long and inside a small diorama of the 1985 Nike photo that launched the logo and encased in plastic. On the back, it lists Jordan’s vital stats and career highlights through his rookie season with the Chicago Bulls in 1984. The auction opened Wednesday and after two bids, the price is at $336.

According to Goldin, the “Cheetozard” was first found and preserved between 2018 and 2022. It was posted on Instagram last April by Paul Bartlett, owner of a sports memorabilia and trading card shop in Georgia and drew more than 500,000 likes. Bartlett told the New York Times that he purchased the Cheeto on eBay in 2019 for $350. There are currently a variety of other Cheetos bearing a supposed resemblance to everything from the Loch Ness Monster to Neil Armstrong listed on the platform.

Bidding on the Jumpman Cheeto ends on March 29.
